I am currently working at Xdesign, which is a graphic design, marketing, and advertisement firm in Baton Rouge. X embodies a fun and well-connected design company that offers students, like myself, an opportunity to grow as a designer and build on working and communications skills within a business setting. I will be working through the fall semester as an intern, where I will follow the direction of the Creative Director, Hunter Territo, and Lead Graphic Designer, Tiffanie Pitre, to help with graphic design work. I will be exposed to fundamental experiences that will prepare me for a future job in the graphic design field. I will be working along side professionals and learning the ins and outs of what it's like working with clients to develop design concepts, products, and expand the X image. Xdesign is a small company consisting of only 10 people, few being focused on the business and management side and the rest focused more directly on the design aspect. Everyone works together on short and long-term projects, which exemplifies their team aspect. The team at X also works closely with their clients and neighboring companies in the southeast area to produce high quality branding and imaging. Xdesign is based on a hourly paid schedule and offers reasonably suited prices to clients for their work. I'm scheduled to work only a few days out of the week and when I'm needed. The company generally has several projects going on at once, so I'll be the helping hands. Xdesign, as a business, is a team who work day to day to help other businesses grow and succeed. Their goals are to keep their public image and success high by providing good quality work and creative strategies to the community. X aims to build relationships with clients and please the customer. Along with their several awards and recognitions, Xdesign continues to exemplify the importance of good design and branding strategies.
